About Me
Background & Experience:
From 2005 to 2024, I was self-employed as the primary foot care specialist for Senior Citizens on the Olympic Peninsula, where I grew up. I was also a periodic housekeeper for multiple private clients and managed/cleaned a 5-star vacation rental. In 2024, I re-located to Seattle to be closer to family. I have found a heightened sense of community being in the city (coffee shops, book libraries, yoga, farmers markets, etc.) and have since made Seattle my permanent home.
I am highly detail oriented. This is reflected in the areas I am able to recognize are in need of attention and the level of detail of cleaning I give: from the little cracks in windowsills and door frames to sink drain seals. I use small brushes and soft cloths for detail cleaning such as grout in bathrooms and on granite surfaces. I know which materials require specific washing and drying methods and I double check when in doubt.
I have an intuition and an uncanny knack for household organization from the kitchen to clothing drawers. I understand what makes a kitchen flow efficiency and I fold clothes and linens in a manner so that they are visible, pleasing to the eye and unwrinkled.
Transparency and communication is of upmost importance when working in the private homes of others. I always communicate with my clients when I have a question, see something out of the ordinary or foresee an issue. This allows all parties to take part in problem solving and ensuring I don't do something the homeowner wouldn't approve of. Likewise, I always keep my clients personal matters private.
I grew up with domestic and farm animals and I now help my daughter foster dogs and cats. My “grand-dog” Nela, a gentle short-legged retriever, is a therapy dog for incarcerated youth. My first client since moving to Seattle is a sweet “little” Bernese Mountain Dog!
Things I Love: Reading, yoga, spending time with my grandchildren and “grand dog”, cooking, hiking/backpacking, arts and crafts!
